The 17th Ave House.
Hi, we’re Josh Garat and Zachary Goo, the 2024-2025 Ave House Presidents! The house accommodates up to 50+ guys, ranging from freshmen to seniors at UW and other Seattle colleges. Amenities include a study room, basketball court, living spaces, and coin-operated laundry. Each bedroom has internet access, a regular twin bed, and ample closet space for every resident. Parking
There is a Zone 6 parking permit available to residents of the Ave House that costs $95 per year. To be eligible for the permit, your vehicle must be registered in your name and your driver’s license must list the Ave House as your home address. To apply for the permit, you can go to the Seattle Services Portal. This can be a complicated process, so we recommend waiting to apply until you are moved into the house and get help from other Ave guys. To avoid being ticketed in Zone 6, you can park on 16th, 17th, or 18th Avenue NE anywhere south of NE 50th Street for free.
House Activities
Vision 16 offers a variety of activities to get connected with our community. These include weekly small group meetings with mentors, retreats for houses and small groups, formals, an annual Halloween Party, Grab-a-dates, Spring BBQs, and weekly house meetings.
Room Furnishing, Laundry, and Storage
Rooms are furnished with regular twin-sized beds and closet space. A desk(s), desk chair(s), lighting fixture, TV, rug, dresser/cabinet, and couch are all items that you should coordinate with your roommates prior to moving in.
We have a room in the basement to store bikes, skis, snowboards, and any other outdoor equipment, but space is limited. Please bring a lock to secure your belongings in the storage room.
Coin-operated washers and dryers are provided for your use. The combined price to wash and dry each load is $1.75.
